Jujutsu Kaisen season 3 trailer

- Adam McArthur (voice of Yuji) and Kayleigh McKee (Yuta) preview their characters' faceoff when *Jujutsu Kaisen: Execution* opens in theaters.

- "This fight is nothing but hype," McArthur says.

- The stars of the English dub also tee up the Culling Game battle royale of season 3, coming to Crunchyroll in January.

As *Jujutsu Kaisen: Execution*, the compilation film and the very first look at the anime series' third season, opened in theaters overseas, the official social media accounts of Japan reminded local movie-goers of the laws that are in place for recording the screen. "Penalties may include up to 10 years imprisonment, or a fine of up to 10 million yen, or both," one post on Twitter/X read. True fear of God stuff.

In the age of viral theater trends, like the whole "chicken jockey" moment around *A Minecraft Movie*, does a reality even exist in which an American audience wouldn't post footage from inside a cinema screening for TikTok? We'll find out this weekend when *Jujutsu Kaisen: Execution* hits U.S. cinemas starting Dec. 5.

"As a representative of the brand and as a legal citizen of the United States, my official take is don't do it," Kayleigh McKee, the voice behind Yuta Okkotsu for the English dub of *Jujutsu Kaisen*, tells **. "Listen, it's gonna come out on Crunchyroll not that long after. If you really have to clip clips and send it to your friends, it's gonna be higher quality."

Adam McArthur, the English voice of lead character Yuji Itadori, playfully chimes in. "Wait, wait. So you're saying don't do something illegal *now*, do something illegal later?" he jabs.

"Not necessarily," McKee responds. "Under 30 seconds is legal, but not in movie theaters, on Crunchyroll."

Jujutsu Kaisen season 3 trailer

Yuji Itadori (Adam McArthur) in 'Jujutsu Kaisen: Execution'.

McArthur, on a more serious note, agrees. "What are we doing here? Respect the medium. Respect all the hard work that went into this," he says.

There are a lot of secrets to preserve when it comes to *Jujutsu Kaisen: Execution*, the next big anime event to play in theaters following the record-breaking *Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle* and the box-office-busting *Chainsaw Man — The Movie: Reze Arc*.

The compilation movie begins with a big-screen recap of season 2's Shibuya Incident, a pivotal event in which a dark veil trapped civilians within the bustling Shibuya area, along with dangerous curses and curse users. Key character fatalities occurred as a result, and Satoru Gojo, the strongest jujutsu sorcerer, was sealed away in the Prison Realm.

Chainsaw Man The Movie Reze Arc

*Execution* then pivots to reveal an early look at the first two episodes of season 3's Culling Game Arc* *adaptation before its 2026 premiere. Set directly after these traumatic season 2 events, it kicks off with an assassination hit on Yuji for his perceived crimes. Yuta, a Special Grade sorcerer who featured in the prequel movie *Jujutsu Kaisen 0*, is the one tasked with carrying it out, leading to a buzzed-about Yuji-vs.-Yuta showdown.

"This fight is nothing but hype," McArthur says. "To me, there's nothing cooler than when you have a character and you put them in a situation that just seems insurmountable. With *JJK 0* and what we know of Yuta so far in the anime, there is no possible way Yuji has a chance against Yuta, even though Yuji is this anomaly. I don't wanna give any spoilers, but to me, what it turns into is a character-defining moment for both of them. Whenever you can do that through an epic fight scene, I don't know what more you can ask for. It's gonna be amazing."

McKee similarly tees up the cinematic confrontation. "Two large people with bags of determination, clashing," she says. "Two people that were taught by Gojo, however, with different paths. Then that coming to a head against each other with determination, just desperation of those determinations matching. You'll just have to figure out what that means when I say that."

Jujutsu Kaisen: Execution

Yuta in 'Jujutsu Kaisen: Execution'.

The symbiosis of these clashing characters feels palpable. McKee points to a prominent theory that the custodians of *Jujutsu Kaisen* have not yet confirmed on the record, that Yuta was initially envisioned as the main character of Gege Akutami's manga before he pivoted to Yuji, a character who could grow more powerful as the story progressed.

McKee herself also auditioned for the English dub of Yuji before landing the Yuta part, adding even more color to the dueling characters. "As somebody who's also a writer, it's like being able to write your own crossover episode from the things in your own head that you've been bubbling on for years," she says.

The Yuta we meet in *Jujutsu Kaisen: Execution* and the beginning of this season 3 story arc appears different than the one we met in the prequel. "While I am performing Yuta, one of the biggest images is still from *JJK 0* that I always go back to in my head," McKee explains. "It's Yuta looking up at [antagonist] Geto and just realizing Geto has ill intent for his friends and being like, 'I will never be on the side of somebody who would hurt my friends.' That, I feel, is his core driving principle."

At the start of the Culling Game Arc, Yuta arrives in a more lethal manner. His haunting eyes appear vacant in the animation aesthetic, which adds to his unsettling aura. Fans may know where this is all going, but for McKee, "I will admit it was sort of a mental workout. Immediately, my brain starts kicking in. He's acting very different than he did in the movies. He's grown, he's a year older. At the end of *JJK 0*, he still had that happy-go-lucky, but then we see him here, I had to start thinking, 'How am I going to bridge that gap? How am I going to sell that? Who is he now and for what purpose?'"

McArthur describes Yuji at this moment of collision as "weathered" and "scarred up," especially over the deaths of Nanami and Nobara during the Shibuya Incident. "Our poor boy is beaten down constantly, basically, since the end of season 1," the actor says. "He's riddled with guilt...It's gonna be some trauma from here on out."

And then there's the titular Culling Game of season 3. While *Jujutsu Kaisen: Execution* doesn't touch on those events, the episodes screening in theaters set up the battle royale in which jujutsu sorcerers from 10 colonies across Japan are paired up for 1:1 fights to the death. Engineered by nefarious curse user Kenjaku, the goal is to force the evolution of humanity and jujutsu.

"I just wanna be along for the ride," McKee comments of that looming event. "I'm working on the show, sure, but I also just wanna be like a fan, as somebody who's a nerd for the medium, and sit back and be in awe of it."

McArthur feels "season 3 has the potential to be even more hype than the Shibuya Incident." He says, "We get so many new characters, so many manga fan-favorite characters. The world continues to expand and build. We get a bigger picture of what is at stake for jujutsu sorcerers, what they're fighting for, what might be working against them."

With *Jujutsu Kaisen: Execution* in theaters this weekend and season 3 coming to Crunchyroll Jan. 8 in the new year, let the games begin.**

Younghoe Koo stumped football pundits on Monday night when he stubbed his toes in a botched field goal attempt.

The New York Giants kicker was attempting a 47-yard field goal during the second quarter in the Monday Night Football game against the New England Patriots when the snap — and snafu – happened.

"I was approaching the ball and, cold weather, the ball kind of slipped out at the bottom so it was moving," Koo, 31, told reporters. "I wasn't able to kick through the ball. The ball was moving when I was driving to it, so I just pulled up on it."

The Giants' holder, Jamie Gillan, recovered the ball and tried to salvage the situation but he was tackled for a 13-yard loss on the unlikely play — all of which was not lost on onlookers.

"I have not seen that — ever!" Peyton Manning said on his and brother Eli Manning's ManningCast, observing that Yoo may have "tripped."

Eli agreed, as did their special guest Danny DeVito, who both shared that they had "never seen that."

Meanwhile, cameras caught Giants rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart looking on from the sidelines in the aftermath.

"Oh my god," Dart, 22, mouthed, and then turned away from the field in seeming disgust.

The NFC team went on to lose 33-15 and drop to 2-11 on the year.

For Koo, the 2025 season has been one in which he's had to make adjustments.

The veteran kicker, who is known for his onside kicking acumen, was released from the Atlanta Falcons after missing a game-tying 43-yard field goal in week 1.

After six years with the Falcons, Koo was scooped up by the Giants where he was signed to the practice squad in September.

Named to the Pro Bowl in 2020, the South Korean kicker has made 185 of 215 (86%) kicks over his career.

This Saturday, Alabama will take the field for its latest SEC championship, and it's not too much to say that the Tide will be facing two opponents: the University of Georgia across the field, and the College Football Playoff committee above it.

This isn't the usual "the refs are screwing us!" carping. This is a very real possibility given the way that the CFP rankings — which currently have Alabama at No. 10 — have unfolded this season. In short: What if Alabama loses the SEC championship … and misses the College Football Playoff as a result?

I know, Aw boo hoo, poor Tide, right? Literally no one outside the city limits of Tuscaloosa should feel bad for the plight of Alabama football, not for another two decades, at least. Without question, Alabama made life tougher for itself this season by getting blown out at Florida State and then throwing up on its cleats against Oklahoma.

But there's a larger point at work here: When a team that misses the conference championship can get into the CFP, and a team that reaches it can fall out of the mix, what, exactly, is the point of conference championships anymore? (Yes, the real point, as always, is the wheelbarrows full of money conference championships generate. But we're talking bigger-picture ideas here.)

Minutes after knocking off Auburn to claim Alabama's sixth straight Iron Bowl victory on Saturday night, Kalen DeBoer addressed the question of Alabama's playoff chances head-on. Being denied a berth in the CFP "would blow my mind," he said. "That would be unreal. We're 10-2, and 7-1 in the SEC with all these ranked wins, and some wins on the road. We've got more than a playoff-caliber football team. There's not a question in my mind."

After beating Auburn, Kalen Deboer immediately made the case for the Crimson Tide to be included in the College Football Playoff. (Kevin C. Cox/Getty Images) (Kevin C. Cox via Getty Images)

In theory, he's absolutely right. Alabama goes into the SEC championship as the No. 1 seed — that is, the regular-season champion in the toughest conference in the country — and that ought to mean something. But given the way that the CFP committee appears to penalize losses more than it values wins, Alabama's two L's are already two strikes against its record. And a third — even if it came against what would likely be, at worst, the No. 2 seed in the country — might be enough to bounce the Tide from the CFP field.

Granted, numbers in college football are like Bible verses; you can pick and choose whichever ones you want to make your case. Alabama is 10-2, like Oklahoma and Notre Dame, but Oklahoma beat Alabama, and Notre Dame's two losses were to better teams than Alabama's. On the other hand, Oklahoma, Georgia, Texas A&M and Ole Miss are all CFP-ranked ahead of Alabama … but Alabama claimed the conference championship's No. 1 seed via tiebreakers.

That makes the SEC championship one hell of an all-in gamble for Alabama: Win, and there could be a first-round bye waiting for you; lose, and it might be back to Tuscaloosa to wait for a call from the Gator Bowl.

In all likelihood, Alabama probably has about a touchdown's worth of margin of error. A close loss to a Georgia team the Tide beat earlier this season probably wouldn't be enough to drop Alabama from the CFP bracket. But how about if the Dawgs blow out the Tide? Then it becomes a whole lot easier for the CFP to justify dumping Alabama by pointing to that haunting Florida State loss.

At the same time, if Alabama misses out on a playoff berth by playing an extra game while others like Ole Miss, Texas A&M, Oregon and — most notably — Notre Dame get in while sitting at home … that might not be the final nail in the coffin for conference championships, but the hammer will be swinging. Who wants to play a game with little upside and massive downside?

Alabama is the most radioactive example of this dubious gamble, but others are facing similar questions. BYU is looking at the prospect of missing out on the playoff with an 11-2 record with a Big 12 conference championship loss, and Duke isn't getting anywhere near the playoff with a loss in the ACC title game. (And maybe not even with a win, but that's another story.) The point is that in the CFP era, the conference championships have been so devalued that even finishing second place in a Power Four conference isn't enough to guarantee a CFP bid … so, again, what exactly is the point of these games?

In the end, though, there's a very simple solution to all of this for the Crimson Tide. If Nick Saban were still coaching Alabama, he'd absolutely be politicking for his team in public — he did that back in 2023 and got the Tide into the last four-team playoff over an undefeated Florida State. (There's some irony at play with the 'Noles unintentionally getting their revenge two years later.)

But behind closed doors, in the locker room, Saban would have a much more direct message for his team: Win, and everything else takes care of itself. We'll see on Saturday if the Tide can solve their own problems … or if they'll leave their fate in the hands of the playoff committee.

Ocean Spray said in a statement that it is investigating "reports about cans containing water instead of cranberry sauce"

The company said that "not meeting expectations matters to us" and they have "reached out to the folks who shared these videos to learn more and make it right"

Several consumers have posted clips to social media of them opening cans of jellied cranberry sauce only to discover water inside

Ocean Spray is looking into claims that customers received cans of water instead of jellied cranberry sauce for Thanksgiving.

The company told PEOPLE in a statement that it was "aware of a few reports about cans containing water instead of cranberry sauce, and we're looking into how this may have happened."

"Millions of families enjoyed their cranberry sauce this holiday season, but even one can of sauce not meeting expectations matters to us," the company continued. "We've reached out to the folks who shared these videos to learn more and make it right."

This comes after a video went viral on TikTok — amassing over 10 million views and over 500,000 likes in less than five days — allegedly show a woman who already opened two cans of Ocean Spray full of water unseal a third can, which, once again, had clear liquid in it.

"My best friend opened up cans of water instead of cranberry sauce 🤣🤣@Ocean Spray Inc. what is going on???" the TikToker user captioned the clip.

The woman was not the only person who this allegedly happened to. On Facebook, another woman showed herself opening the Ocean Spray product with a can opener and flipping the top open only to find clear water inside.

"See that… water in the so-called cranberry sauce… water," the woman said in the clip as she showed the can to the camera. She then moved to wash out the product in the sink followed by another can, which also had water.

She captioned the video, "This was my ocean spray cranberry sauce yesterday… 4 cans…who else had this happen?"

In response to others who mentioned that she may have opened the cans the wrong way, she wrote, "The problem is not with opening the cans!!! Please watch the entire video, the cans were filled with water…"

In a post on X, a separate user asked the company, "@OceanSprayInc why !!! Did I buy 8 cans of water!!!??? With a cranberry sauce label on it ? It's not thanksgiving without a TURKEY AND CRANBERRY SAUCE !!!!"

— sign up for PEOPLE's free daily newsletter to stay up-to-date on the best of what PEOPLE has to offer, from celebrity news to compelling human interest stories.

In response to the user on X, Ocean Spray wrote, "We are sorry to hear that and would be happy to help" and shared a number to reach their company at.

This reportedly wasn't the only mishap some Thanksgiving shoppers had. Another viral TikTok video posted over the Thanksgiving holiday — which has garnered over 2.9 million views — showed one customer opening a can of Del Monte green beans and instead finding beats inside.

"Trying to finish up my Thanksgiving prep and was supposed to be making green beans wrapped in bacon. These are not green beans! Two different cans and in the trash it went!" they captioned the mishap.
