The final season of Stranger Things just became a little bit more sentimental.

Following the drop of the first of three Volumes to wrap up the beloved Netflix series, Ross Duffer, who co-created the show with twin brother Matt, revealed in a recent Instagram post that they go way back with one of the newest characters.

"Miss Harris is played by Hope Hynes Love," the caption read. "She was our high school drama teacher. High school was rough for me and my brother. But Hope saw something in us we didn't see in ourselves — and she helped give us the confidence to not only survive those four years, but to move to LA and chase our dreams."

"Shoutout to all the teachers out there making a difference," Ross continued. "And please … let's prioritize the arts in schools. ✌️"

Another follower — a teacher — also chimed in to say, "As a teacher, watching those scenes I was like 'Bless that woman for being there for her kids'. And now knowing this it's even more special."

Some people claiming to be students of Love shared their own messages for her in the comments.

"I currently have Ms. Hynes as a teacher at East Chapel Hill High," one user explained. "She is such a ray of light in the community, and I know she is still guiding and loving all of her students, no matter what. Love you, Ms. Hynes ❤️."

Hope Hynes Love as Miss Harris in Stranger Things

Love's Miss Harris joined Stranger Things season 5 as Holly Wheeler's (Nell Fisher) teacher at Hawkins Elementary School. She plays a vital role throughout Volume 1, with the class facing an attack at the hands of Vecna (a.k.a. Henry Creel, played by Jamie Campbell Bower), who has a Demogorgon kidnap Holly at the end of episode 1.

Miss Harris continues her attempts to protect the other children, even joining them as they are taken into the military base amid threats from Vecna, while Will Byers (Noah Schnapp) attempts to free them in a dramatic cliffhanger at the end of the fourth episode.
