Created by Kevin Falls and Bill Chais, *Franklin & Bash* followed two unconventional lawyers and lifelong friends, Elmo "Jared" Franklin (Breckin Meyer) and Peter Bash (Mark-Paul Gosselaar), as they brought their street smarts to the elite law firm Infeld & Daniels, LLC.

*Franklin & Bash* originally aired from June 2011 to October 2014, but it's found new life after landing on Netflix, quickly climbing the streamer's TV Top 10 list.

Breckin Meyer played the snarky and confident lawyer Jared Franklin on *Franklin & Bash*. During that time, he also created, wrote, and executive produced the sitcom *Men at Work* (2012–2014).

After both shows ended in 2014, Meyer focused on voice acting, lending his talents to *SuperMansion *(2015–2017), and *Crossing Swords* (2020). He's also continued to provide voices for *Robot Chicken*, which he's been contributing to for two decades and counting.

As of this writing, he's dating producer and host Kelly Rizzo, the widow of *Full House* actor Bob Saget.

Mark-Paul Gosselaar portrayed Peter Bash, the more grounded and level-headed half of the *Franklin & Bash* duo.

Following the show's cancellation, Gosselaar landed several leading roles on series such as *Pitch *(2016),* The Passage* (2019), and *Mixed-ish* (2019–2021).

More recently, he returned to his roots, producing and starring on Peacock's *Saved by the Bell* revival (2020–2021), as well as taking on prominent roles on* Will Trent* (2023) and the NBC procedural *Found *(2023–2025).

In 2022, Gosselaar shared that he and Meyer are still friends and interested in reviving *Franklin & Bash*.

"We've been trying to get the rights," he said at GalaxyCon Raleigh (per TellTale TV). "It's really frustrating because we know there's an audience for them; we know there's story to be told. We left that show on a cliffhanger and that was not our intention to end the show like that."

Gosselaar is a father of four children, two boys and two girls. He shares his two oldest with ex-wife Lisa Ann Russell and his two youngest with Catriona McGinn, who he married in 2012.

Legendary English actor Malcolm McDowell was a core part of *Franklin & Bash*, playing eccentric senior partner Stanton Infeld.

Since the series wrapped, McDowell has appeared in a wide range of film and TV projects, including *Bombshell *(2019),* Father Stu* (2022), and *Thelma *(2024).

On the small screen, you might recognize him from *Mozart in the Jungle* (2014–2018), the *Gossip Girl* reboot (2021–2023), and *Son of a Critch* (2022–present).

Coming up, McDowell will star alongside Cary Elwes in the historical drama *The Panic* and lend his voice to *Ark: The Animated Series*.

Since playing Stanton's nephew Damien Karp on* Franklin & Bash*, Reed Diamond has primarily appeared on TV, with roles on *Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. *(2014–2015; 2018), *Designated Survivor *(2016–2018), and *Orphan Black: Echoes *(2023).

On the film front, Diamond recently starred in the 2025 thriller *Drop* alongside Meghann Fahy (*The White Lotus*, *Sirens*).

In a 2020 interview on the *Reliving My Youth* podcast, Diamond reflected on *Franklin & Bash.* What he enjoyed most wasn't the legal plots, he said, but the character-driven moments. "[What] I cared about [was] that Mark-Paul was in love with the DA and he couldn't function in front of her," he said. "I liked all those character things — that's what was exciting about the show."

Kumail Nanjiani as Pindar "Pindy" Singh

Kumail Nanjiani played the quirky, agoraphobic lawyer Pindar "Pindy" Singh during the first three seasons of* Franklin & Bash*. He didn't return for the final season due to scheduling conflicts with his breakout role on *Silicon Valley* (2014–2019).

Since then, Nanjiani has built an impressive career across film and television. He co-wrote and starred in the acclaimed romantic comedy *The Big Sick* (2017), earning an Oscar nomination for Best Original Screenplay alongside his wife, Emily V. Gordon.

His other notable roles include appearances on *Obi-Wan Kenobi *(2022) and *Only Murders in the Building* (2024), as well as a leading role on Hulu's *Welcome to Chippendales* (2022–2023), which nabbed him an Emmy nomination.

The actor can also be seen in films like *The Lovebirds* (2020), *Eternals *(2021), and *Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire* (2024).

Next up is James L. Brooks' *Ella McCay* (2025), which he stars in alongside Emma Mackey, Ayo Edebiri, and Woody Harrelson.

On Sept. 5, 2025, Nanjiani took to Instagram to celebrate *Franklin & Bash* hitting Netflix. Sharing a cast photo and a screenshot of the show in Netflix's Top 10, he wrote, "One of my first acting jobs ever, *Franklin & Bash*, is now on Netflix. Had a blast on this one. Was terrified at first, then learned lot and now I miss it all the time. *Franklin & Bash* forever!"

Dana Davis portrayed Carmen Phillips, Franklin and Bash's sharp-witted personal private investigator, during the show's first three seasons.

After she left, Davis shifted her focus to voice work, lending her pipes to animated shows like *Star vs. the Forces of Evil *(2016–2019), as well as *Craig of the Creek *(2018–2024) and its 2023 prequel film. She also made a guest appearance on the Apple TV+ drama *The Morning Show* in 2019.

Davis is also a published author. Writing under the name Dana L. Davis, her novels include *Tiffany Sly Lives Here Now* (2018) and *Somebody I Used to Know* (2022), among others.

For two seasons, Garcelle Beauvais played senior partner Hanna Linden, who just so happened to be Karp's ex-girlfriend.

Following her stint on the show, Beauvais guested on* The Mentalist* (2014) and had a recurring role on *The Magicians* (2016–2019). She gained even more notoriety as a cast member on* The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills* (2020–2025).

Beauvais also co-hosted the daytime talk show *The Real *(2020–2022) and reprised her role from 1988's *Coming to America* in its 2021 sequel.

Heather Locklear joined *Franklin & Bash *in season 3 as Rachel Rose King, a high-powered trial lawyer who shakes things up at the firm.

At the time, she told PopEntertainment that she was excited to take on the role because she'd "never played a lawyer before." She was also drawn to Rachel's strength and confidence, saying the character is "well-educated" and "knows her stuff."

In the years since, Locklear has continued to work sporadically, including on the Lifetime movies *Don't Sweat The Small Stuff: The Kristine Carlson Story *(2023) and *Mormon Mom Gone Wrong: The Ruby Franke Story *(2024).**

Toni Trucks joined *Franklin & Bash* in its fourth season as Anita Haskins, a recent law school graduate eager to prove herself.

Trucks went on to appear on *Grimm* (2014–2015) and *NCIS: New Orleans *(2016–2017), but she's most recognized for her starring role as Lisa Davis on all seven seasons of the CBS series *SEAL Team *(2017–2024).

Anthony Ordonez as Dan Mundy
