Stars who stop by ** and PEOPLE's portrait studio at the Toronto International Film Festival have it really ruff — they get the chance to pose with adorable puppies!

The pawsitively precious pooches come by way of Project Paws Dog Rescue, a Canadian, volunteer-based, not-for-profit organization dedicated to rescuing unwanted dogs and giving them a second chance by placing them into loving furever homes.

Some celebs who are going off leash to play with the pups — while also promoting their film and TV projects at the fest — include Scarlett Johansson (*Eleanor the Great*), Jude Law (*Black Rabbit*), Ryan Reynolds (*John Candy: I Like Me*), Kerry Washington (*Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery)*, Ethan Hawke (*The Lowdown*), Glenn Close (*Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery), *and more!

All photos taken in the NKPR IT House, presented by Q Tower. A donation is made to Artists for Peace and Justice for every celebrity who visits the studio.
