Russian tennis star Daniil Medvedev cops MONSTER fine for Australian Open meltdown
World No.5 Daniil Medvedev has been will lose the majority of his prize money from the Australian Open after being slugged with a huge fine for his bad bahaviour last week. Medvedev was eliminated from the Open by Learner Tien last week, pocketing $150,000 for reaching the second round. But most of that will be going to fines after the Russian was slugged with a $123,000 penalty for two incidents.
