Ragdolls are famous for their gentle personalities and relaxed attitudes, but that doesn’t mean they’re always the picture of peace and tranquility. Sometimes, even the sweetest, most easygoing cat has another side that comes out when the mood strikes, and the difference can be surprisingly dramatic.

In this video, one gorgeous Ragdoll cat shows off two completely opposite sides of his personality, making it almost impossible to believe they’re coming from the same kitty. The contrast between his different moods is hilarious, especially when both somehow suit him perfectly.

On October 18, @anya_churro_theragdolls shared a TikTok video of Churro, a very beautiful Ragdoll cat who looks adorable and innocent at the start of the clip. He’s curled up on a gaming chair, taking a snooze and as calm as can be.

But within seconds, we see things aren’t always what they seem. We then get another look at Churro and his personality, which is either calm and perfect or evil chaos. We know it’s just him in all these video snippets, despite the opposite personalities, because his bright blue eyes and cute smoky gray ears stay the same. He’s just like that—a little calm and a little chaos.

In the comments, viewers loved getting this look at the cute boy, and some shared similar experiences with their Ragdoll cats.

One person wrote, “Angel like 5% of the time,” sharing a photo of their cat sitting in the sink with a very menacing look on his face. The comment continued, “95% straight-up devil.”

Someone else added, ” Not just the boys.”

Another shared, “I’m so glad to see others are experiencing this, too. Like, what did we do to deserve the love aggression?”

Why Cats Can Switch Between Affectionate and Independent Behavior So Quickly

Churro is so hilarious and full of personality, which is what we’ve all come to expect of cats, especially Ragdolls. While this breed is known for being pretty easygoing, they are still cats, which means they can go from sleepy and cuddly one second to completely over the affection the next and turn to biting. Why though? Well, it’s because kitties are pretty complex when it comes to emotions and behavior.

According to CatTree, cats are known for mood swings, where they can go from happy and enjoying a cuddle to completely mad and not wanting to be touched again. Often, this is a normal spectrum of emotions, but at times, things you’re doing can trigger their mood flip, because you just didn’t notice the subtle signs that they weren’t having a good time anymore.

The site explains that you can read a few signals to gauge their mood, including their posture, facial tension, ears, and tail. A cat who becomes tense while you’re cuddling or whose tail flicks from side to side is often a good sign you’re about to push their last button, and they’re overstimulated.

“Establishing a baseline for your cat’s normal behavior is key because deviations from their usual habits are often indicative of mood swings or underlying issues,” CatTree notes, adding that this can help when your kitty seems like two completely different beings from one moment to the next, like Churro.
