Ezra separately insisted he was single and focused on dancing during the livestream, though sources previously claimed he and Hailey had been secretly hanging out and flirting backstage throughout the competition. Cast and crew members reportedly encouraged Hailey and Ezra to date, noting their genuine chemistry, similar humor, and growing closeness week after week on the DWTS set. In today’s edition of surprise Dancing With the Stars updates, it seems Emma Slater and Sharna Burgess might be playing matchmaker.
During a TikTok livestream on the official DWTS account on Monday night, the besties (who were both eliminated last week) answered fan questions alongside fellow eliminated Hailey Bills…and subtly addressed the serious chemistry between Hailey and one of this season’s contestants in the process.
In response to Sharna asking, “Do people want to see Ezra Frech?” Hailey responded, “They probably do!” And it didn’t take long for Emma to turn the attention to Hailey—which is pretty telling, given the rumors that Hailey and Ezra might be secretly dating .
“How much do you wanna see Ezra Frech?” Emma asked with a smile, to which Hailey replied, “Me?” before she realized what was going on. “I would love to see Ezra Frech!” she responded with laughter, as Emma added with a wink, “Ezra, Hailey would love to see you!”
Elsewhere during the same livestream, Ezra confirmed he wasn’t seeing anyone, saying, “I’m single. I’m locked in on dancing.”
When Sharna conveniently asked if the athlete was “interested in that changing,” after chatting with Hailey, he doubled down, saying, “I’m locked in on dancing right now. That’s all I’ll say.”
The timing of their hilarious matchmaking moment isn’t totally random, either. Last month, a source told The Sun that the celeb and pro have allegedly been secretly seeing each other behind the scenes.
This came after a separate insider told the outlet that “Hailey and Ezra are always hanging out backstage together; they’re the cutest. They have gotten really flirty with each other and are openly flirty in front of the cast.”
At the time, they added, “It’s gotten to the point where all the pros and contestants and even the crew members are pushing for them to date. They both are very genuine and have a similar sense of humor, so they’ve been getting along so well and getting closer every week of the competition.”
Neither Hailey nor Ezra has publicly addressed the romance rumors, but I’m all for this ballroom connection. Also, Emma and Sharna…I’m single too, just saying!!
