Disagreeing sisters, a rich boss and a weekend at a lavish private island are the elements that make upNetflix'snew limited series "Sirens." Devon DeWitt (Meghann Fahy) thinks her sister Simone DeWitt (Milly Alcock) has creepy relationship with her boss, enigmatic socialite Michaela Kell (Julianne Moore). However, Simone is completely enthralled by Michaela's cult-ish life of luxury. That is, until Devon decides it's time for an intervention. Little does she know what a formidable opponent Michaela will be. "Told over the course of one explosive weekend at The Kells' lavish island estate, 'Sirens' is an incisive, sexy, and darkly funny exploration of women, power, and class," says Netflix about the series. Series creator and executive producerMolly Smith Metzler told Netflix's Tudumthe "story has a lot of teeth." "There are real moments of drama, and it's going to make people uncomfortable," Smith Metzler said. "Operatic is a word I like to use to describe it. It's a true dark comedy — and it's got a Greek mythology vibe." However,Fahy notesviewers should not expect a murder mystery. "Sirens is really a show about relationships and the way people desperately try to outrun their past," the actor told Tudum.
