While speaking exclusively to PEOPLE at a TCM Classic Film Festival event at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, Calif., Donovan said that when she thinks back on her fondestCluelessmoments, she usually thinks about one thing. "I really always think about Brittany," Donovan, 54, said. "She would come into hair and makeup like this whirlwind of all this energy, and they would always be worried like, 'No, no, no, don't mess up your hair!' [She'd be like], 'No, I got it. I got it. CBS via Getty Murphy, who played new kid Tai in the iconic 1995 teen comedy, died in 2009at the age of 32. At the time, the L.A. County coroner concluded that the actress died as a result of pneumonia combined with anemia and "multiple drug intoxication" from prescription and over-the-counter medications. Donovan went on to share that she also has fond memories of her co-starDonald Faison, who played Murray, boyfriend of Cher's bestie, Dionne, and went on to star in the hit showScrubs. "I always think about Donald, because Donald — I just adore him and we have just a lot of fun memories. He just would crack me up," she revealed. Paramount/Everett She also gushed that it's been "amazing" coming of age with her fellowCluelessalum, especially as they grow and evolve into new phases of life, both personally and professionally. "We did a photo shoot a bunch of years ago forEntertainment Weekly, andAlicia [Silverstone]had just had her son, and I just had my daughter. And so it's like we all reconnect as parents and as grownups, and Alicia and I got to spend more time together — we did aSuper Bowl commercialtogether and did a couple of other things together," she said. She added, "And it's been such a gift to reconnect with her and just talk about the challenges and the joys of that time, [and] how it is to be a female growing up in this business, and now being parents, and it's great to see that we all have survived and thrived."
