The Weeknd Donates $1 Million Toward Los Angeles Wildfire Relief
The Weeknd is doing his part to support Los Angeles and its firefighters amid the devastating wildfires in the area. The 34-year-old music superstar — real name Abel Tesfaye — has committed to donating $1 million, spread throughout three different organizations helping relief efforts, aiding firefighters and supporting those displaced by the fires: The Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation, GoFundMe's Wildfire Relief Fund and the LA Regional Food Bank. The donations, according to a news release, are in partnership with World Food Program USA and the musician's XO Humanitarian Fund.
